For the month of March, 10% of all proceeds from Beautycounter will go directly to McCall HSA!

Beautycounter is a non-toxic skincare, beauty, and cosmetic company creating safer products for women and children as well as doing larger advocacy work for broader safety in the personal care industry!

Hot Chocolate Sale

Please support the Student Council’s Hot Chocolate Sale!

They will be selling hot chocolate with toppings for $1 on Tuesday, February 14th during lunch.

When you buy a cup, you write a message for somebody else and take a message that somebody wrote.

Coffee with the Principal/HSA Meeting

Our next Coffee with the Principal/Home & School Association Meeting will take place on Thursday, March 2nd at 9:00 AM in the auditorium, following “Bagels & Books” (an opportunity for parents to peruse the Scholastic Book Fair).

These meetings are a wonderful opportunity to meet other parents and learn about McCall happenings.

Family Movie Night

Get in the mood for our spring musical and join us for our rescheduled showing of “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” on Thursday, March 2nd!

The flyer has been sent home.

  • Doors open at 5:30 PM and the movie starts at 6:00 PM.
  • Tickets are $5 in advance, $6 at the door
  • Pizza is $2/slice.
  • To be more eco-friendly, we will not be selling bottled water! Please bring a reusable water bottle or your own beverage!
  • We will be showing the movie in the Gym (Bring Your Own Blanket!)

The Book Fair will also be running in the Auditorium from 5:30 to 6:30 PM for adult purchasing!

Girls on the Run

Registration for Girls on the Run (grades 3-5) and Heart and Sole (grades 6-8) is now open!

The national not-for-profit after school program combines training for a 5K race with an interactive curriculum to develop self respect and healthy lifestyles.

The program will begin March 6th and run until June on Mondays and Wednesdays until 4:30 PM.

The cost to participate is $150. However, there are scholarships available for all those who qualify. No child will be denied due to cost.

Young Rembrandts

Young Rembrandts will be starting a new session with us, after school again on Tuesdays for students in grades K through 5. It will run February 21st through March 28th, from 3:15 to 4:15 PM.

The cost is $99 for 6 weeks, but $90 if you register by February 18th. You may register online.  The flyer can be found here.

Chinese New Year’s Party

Friday’s Chinese New Year’s Party was a great success! Thank you to those who contributed time, money, and/or food! And thanks to all of the families who attended!

A special thanks to Ms. Sei’s mother, Shek Yu Sei, the Chinese American Women’s Sisterhood Society of Philadelphia, Ocean Harbor, and Joy Tsin Lau. And thanks to the many fabulous Middle School students who helped run the craft tables.

Thank you to Farah Kapoor, Yu Hong Chen, and Jesse Gardner for coordinating the celebration.

All after school programs are also closed.
