Girls on the Run

Registration for Girls on the Run for Grades 3 to 5 is open!

The season will begin on September 18th. The program will run for 10 weeks on Mondays and Wednesdays until 4:30 PM culminating in a 5K race on December 2nd.

The cost of the program is $150. However, financial aid is available to all who qualify. No child will be denied due to cost.

Coaches Needed!

McCall is looking for coaches for Girls’ Volleyball and Girls’ Basketball!

Volleyball Season is October to November and Basketball Season is December to February.
Coaches will receive a small stipend. Time requirement is 3PM to 5PM two to three days per week for each season.

Schoolyard Project

We have had the wonderful opportunity last year to work with Bambi Yost and her students at Iowa State University to create a Master Plan for our Schoolyard. Now, in order for it to happen, we need a devoted committee and in particular a chair or two!

If you are interested in participating on this long-term project, please be in touch and I will connect the committee! This will be a big project, but a worthwhile one!

Cherrydale Fundraiser: This is an annual, short-term, fundraiser that takes place at the beginning of the school year with a company that sells giftwrap, home goods, and more via a catalog and online. The Chair communicates with the company representative and distributes brochures, promotes the fundraiser, and collects, tracks, places, and later distributes the orders.

Name Bubbles

It’s camp season! If you need personalized name labels, we have an ongoing fundraiser with NameBubbles where they give McCall HSA 20% back on all sales. So far we have earned $122!
The labels are waterproof and fun and also make great gifts.

Room 210 Museum

Please visit “The Grandness of Animals Museum” — the culmination of Ms. Hantman’s class’s Need in Deed project on endangered species!
The museum will be open:
  • Tuesday, June 13th – 9 to 11:30 AM
  • Wednesday, June 14th – 9 AM to 2:30 PM
  • Thursday, June 15th – 9 AM to 2:30 PM

There is a small gift shop, all proceeds go to the World Wildlife Fund and John Heinz Refuge. All items $0.25, planting for $1.00. There is also  a donation jar.
