Dress Down Day – Friday, January 6th

This month’s Dress Down Day will take place on Friday, January 6th and the theme is Pajama Day!

If your child participates and dresses out of uniform, please send $1 in and the homeroom teacher will collect the money in the morning.

Participating students earn points toward Blue & Gold Day, McCall‘s annual field day in the spring.

  • Winter Break will start on Friday, Dec 23 AFTER SCHOOL. Classes will resume on WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 4.
  • Coach Duenas‘project on DonorsChoose was fully funded! Congratulations!!
  • Don’t forget when making purchases on Amazon to go through smile.amazon.com; many items are eligible for a percentage donation to McCall by Amazon.Just make sure you select “McCall Home & School Association” as your charitable organization of choice! 
  • Shop for holiday gifts and earn money for McCall!
  • McCall has a new partnership with Caviar, a restaurant delivery service
  • McCall will be offering new after school programs in January, including Snapology! Space is limited, so enroll soon.
  • Save the date for Casino Night!
  • The final illustrative boards for the playground are live.

A note from Principal McKenna

Dear McCall Family,

I would like to thank everyone for welcoming me to the McCall School Community. I am very excited to have the opportunity to serve as your principal and anticipate many successful years partnering with students, staff, parents and community members to ensure our students receive a rewarding educational experience. Please do not hesitate to stop by to introduce yourself or to contact me with questions or concerns. I will be hosting my first ‘Coffee with the Principal’ in January and hope that you will be able to attend. As we approach the winter break, I would like to send you best wishes for a wonderful holiday season and a very Happy New Year!

Student Council Candy Grams

This week members of Student Council will be selling Candy Grams for $1 each during lunch this week and at the Winter Concert. If your child would like to purchase some for anybody, please send money in! They will be delivered the week of December 19th.

Proceeds will benefit student activities run by the Student Council.

If parents would like to purchase one as a surprise for a child, please complete this google form, and send your money in, in an envelope marked with the parent and student name by Friday, December 16th.

Winter Concert

Come enjoy beautiful music by our wonderful students!! The Winter Concert will take place on Thursday, December 15th at 9:15AM, 10:15 AM, and 1:30 PM.

See performances by Band (led by Margaret Lineman) Choir (led by Linda Gooding), and Strings (led by Tracy Parente).

All are welcome!
